Sunshine Destinations Still Popular Despite Low Loonie

As the weather gets colder, many of us get the urge to bask in warm sunshine in the Caribbean or Mexico.

One travel company says business has been brisk since the thermometer began to drop.

Carrie Lopez with Selloffvacations.com says Cuba continues to be a great winter vacation option.

“We are seeing a lot of bookings for Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico and we are starting to sell out. The volume of bookings is definitely there.”

Thanks to incentives from airlines and tour operators, Lopez adds bookings are still steady to the southern United States despite the strength of the American dollar.
