Lunenburg Library Seeks Public Input

The Lunenburg Library wants help deciding what their new space will be like.

Public consultations will be asking people’s opinions on everything from new services to new chairs.

Deputy Chief Librarian, Jeff Mercer, says it’s so much more than a room full of books.

“It is also a room in which people spend time with their family,” he says. “If you want a movie, and Netflix doesn’t have it, maybe we do. If you need to book a space to have a meeting with somebody…”

The first meeting will be held at the current building, this Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Lunenburg Academy is expected to be the new home for the library by the end of the year.
