Lunenburg is looking to increase public access to washrooms.
There is a public washroom at the corner of Bluenose Drive and Montague Street but it’s closed for the winter.
Mayor Rachel Bailey says council wants to see if there are other opportunities.
“We are just hoping to have a broader community discussion and we’re hoping the Board of Trade might join us to see what those possibilities might be.”
One possibility is asking businesses to open their washrooms up to the public.
But Mayor Bailey says if businesses agree then compensation would have to be worked out.
