RCMP are warning people about an ongoing telephone scam.
Fraudsters are posing as Canada Revenue Agency employees.
They look for personal information and threaten you with arrest if you don’t comply.
Constable Mark Skinner says that would never happen.
“The worst possible thing for a police officer to do is if we were going to someones house to arrest them, is to call them and tell them we were on our way to arrest them. Tactically speaking, that is not the appropriate way that we would do business.”
Skinner says if you receive any calls, hang up and report it to police.
