The Bridgewater Community Christmas dinner won’t be served this year.
A lack of volunteers cancelled the event in 2014 – and no one has stepped forward to bring it back to the table.
It was held for five years before organizers decided new leadership was needed.
Mayor David Walker says he’s hopeful the event will return.
“If there were some community members out there who said they were willing to try and bring it back, certainly, I think the town would be willing to sit down and see what role we could play in assisting it.”
The dinner attracted hundreds of people every year.
Anyone interested in organizing the event can contact Bridgewater Community Christmas on Facebook.
