Utility bills in the Town of Lunenburg will soon be online.
Town council just approved almost $13,000 for the purchase of a new computer server.
This will replace the existing server which is unable to handle the software required to run the web portal.
The server warranty had expired and was already due for replacement.
The web portal will allow residents to view their bills as well as their consumption history.
The system will not accept payment as council determined most users would opt to use their own online banking.
The web service is expected to be operational by early in the new year.
