Curling Champs To Be Celebrated In Chester

The Nova Scotia, Canadian and World Junior curling champions from last season will be celebrated Saturday evening in Chester.

The Canadian and World Championship banners for the team, formerly skipped by Mary Fay, will be unveiled at the Chester Curling Club.

You can meet the current team members, curl with them and see their gold medals.

Curling Club President Carla Stevens says it’s an extraordinary accomplishment.

“For the Chester Curling Club to have this recognition and even the sport of curling in Nova Scotia is important to see how far these girls went to get the world gold medals.”

Festivites start at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Chester Curling Club.
