Nova Scotians will get a look into the province’s community colleges tomorrow.
NSCC campuses will host their annual open house.
Lunenburg Principal Craig Collins says the day gives staff and students an opportunity to show off what goes on at the school.
“Students in there answering questions, being able to demonstrate some of the skills that they are acquiring. Be able to answer questions from prospective students or parents about what a prospective student can expect to engage in.”
Collins says it’s chance for people to see what goes on behind closed doors.
“You know this is a really good opportunity to give a full scope of what we offer and what we do and how we support community.”
During the open house, the college waives the application fee for any prospective students.
Collins says they’ll host a job fair featuring a dozen employers in the afternoon and a networking event will take place during the evening.
The campus will be open from 9:00am until 7:00pm.
Visit any campus during NSCC Open House on Thursday, October 18 to apply for free and be entered to win $1,000 toward your education.
