A man is facing charges after driving impaired in downtown Lunenburg Sunday.
Lunenburg District RCMP say they received several 911 calls about a black truck driving erratically through the historic town at around 3:45 p.m.
Callers reported that parked cars had been struck, parking meters were damaged, and then the truck hit a building before continuing on.
Police located the truck at the corner of King and Montague streets with the driving sitting outside the vehicle.
The driver, a 41-year-old Lunenburg County man, was arrested for alcohol impaired driving and taken to the Cookville Detachment for a breath test.
His samples showed he was around two and a half times the legal limit.
In total, three cars, one building, a store, and two parking meters were damaged.
The driver was released and is scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2019.
The investigation is ongoing.
