The Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs edged the Cape Breton Tradesman 4-3.
Aaron Brown scored twice for the Mustangs, who improved to 2-0 this season.
Josh Manzer and Connor Goodick also scored while Morgan Kini stopped 26 shots.
The Mustangs are on the road next weekend to play the Cape Breton West Islanders.
