Fresh Air Food Raises $2,000

Organizers of the second annual Fresh Air Food Festival say it was a success.

Committee member Janice Tanner-Ernst says the event was much better organized this year.

She says more food trucks made for shorter lines meaning people got to try food from mulitipal venders.

However, Tanner Ernst says attendance was down this year.

About 2,000 people showed up compared to 3,000 in 2015.

“This year could have been a bit of a growing pains year for us, but hopefully the buzz gets out for next year

The festival raised $2,000 for Feed Nova Scotia.

Tanner-Ernst says they’ve already started to plan for next year’s event scheduled for the second weekend in September.September.
