Queens Candidates For Mayor To Debate Tuesday

A debate will be held tomorrow for the three candidates vying to be mayor of Queens.

Mayor Christopher Clarke, Scott Costen and David Dagley will face questions from the South Queens Chamber of Commerce as well as several questions submited by the public.

COC Executive Director Barry Tomalin expects expects a lively and informative discussion.

“The ones that may be the most fun are the ones that are coming from the general public that the candidates haven’t seen. So they’ll have a little more challenge in handling that,” says Tomalin. “Certainly there’ll be a difference of opinion and we hope that will allow the general population of Queens to pick a mayoralty candidate.”

The debate will take place at the Astor Theatre.

The event starts at 5:30p.m and will run from 5:30 until 7:30 Tuesday night.
