*Since this story aired, Parks Canada has announced they are extending the deadline for submissions from November 30 to December 9.
The window is closing for Nova Scotians to have they say on a management plan for Sable Island.
Parks Canada has been conducting a survey to hear how the public will interact with the island for years to come.
The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society are encouraging people to participate.
Meghan Borland with CPAWS says any plan needs to ensure that ecological integrity guides the future plans for the park.
“With this increased visitation will come increased disturbance to the island’s sensitive dune and beach environments and there could be potential disturbance to wildlife colonies.”
