Chester Man Charged With Stunting

A Chester man has been charged with stunting after he was caught driving 77 kilometres an hour over the speed limit.

The 19-year-old man was doing 177km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 103 at around 8:10 a.m. yesterday when Southeast Traffic Services stopped his vehicle

The driver was charged with stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act.

His vehicle was seized and his drivers licence suspended for seven days.

He’s also facing a fine of nearly $2,500.

The RCMP is once again reminding the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions, and if you see someone driving unsafely call police or dial 911.
