RCMP Lays Charges After Recovering Stolen Property

Stolen goods from four separate thefts in Annapolis and Lunenburg counties has been recovered.

RCMP say a three-week investigation led them to a home on October 21 in Blue Rocks where they found two stolen kayaks.

Police also searched a home in Pleasantville last week and recovered three more kayaks, two surfboards, antique signs, a gas powered generator and road signs belonging to the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.

Sixty year-old Scott Douglas Comeau of Pleasantville was arrested and charged wth five counts of possession of property obtained by crime, break, enter and theft and theft under $5,000.

He had an initial court appearance on Wednesday.

Comeau is due back in court on November 2.
