MacKullen Astill scored the lone goal in the shootout to help the South Shore Junior ‘A’ Lumberjacks past the Truro Bearcats 5-4 Thursday night at the LCLC.
Christian Tsukamoto scored twice and added two assists to lead the ‘Jacks while Nicolas Tardif added the other two goals in regulation.
Goaltender Ty Grant turned aside 25 shots.
The Lumberjacks remain two points behind Pictou for the final playoff spot in the Eastlink South Division after the Crushers topped Edmundston 5-4 in overtime.
The Lumberjacks are on the road against Valley Friday night.
