Registration Open For Annual Winter Programming

The town of Bridgewater is gearing up to kick off its winter recreation programming.

The Town of Bridgewater is taking registrations for its winter recreation programs, which offer both indoor and outdoor activities to keep residents busy.

Diana Johnson, recreation coordinator, said providing these recreation options for residents is important to the town.

“People want things to do, and I think as the town’s recreation department it is on us to give people options to keep them active and healthy and also things that are good for their mental well being,” she said.

Popular activities are returning this year including the digital photography workshop as well as the Lets Get Moving Walking Club.

there are also a few new programs this year, including a creative polymers clay workshop and holiday workshops with the Bridgewater Community Gardens Club.

Johnson said they strive to provide a program for all ages.

“A lot of it is our typical programs we offer from year to year, but it is a great variety of programs,” she said.

“We have a couple of children’s programs, a couple of youth programs but we also have general programs anyone can participate in as well as seniors programs.”

Registration forms, program pamphlets and information can be found on the town’s website, by visiting the recreation office, or by calling the recreation department at (902) 543-2274.
