Lumberjacks On The Road For Three Games in Three Nights

The players and staff of the South Shore Lumberjacks piled on a bus Thursday that will be there home for the next four days.

Currently in a rut, having lost their last eight games the Jacks will be desperately hunting for a win.

Their road trip starts tonight in Fredericton as they square off against the Red Wings. The teams last met on Nov. 22nd at the LCLC where the Jacks lost 4-3.

This time the Jacks roster is bolstered by George Young who has plenty of experience according to Jacks Head Coach Kyle McAllister.

“He’s won a championship (Yarmouth Mariners 2019), and has a really hard nose aggressive kind of play-style which we think can help the team a lot.”

Young was acquired earlier this month in a trade with the Yarmouth Mariners.

After the Jacks finish in Fredericton they move on to Grand Falls. When they last played on Nov. 8th the Jacks took the win notching five goals to Grand Falls’s two. Since that meeting, the Jacks have only won two games.

The last game of the weekend, on Saturday, sees the Jacks head to Edmunston who currently sit in 2nd place, in the EastLink North Division of the MHL.
