I’ll admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Atlantic Bubble. When first announced, I thought it might be a bit of an over reaction.
That was mostly because I had family from outside the area I was hoping to see over the summer. Locking down the province and then the region was not going to help that happen.
But some of them still came, did their two weeks isolation and went on with their lives. Yes, some did not have the luxury of the extra time, but that’s okay.
As time goes on, I’m becoming more and more of a bubble fan. As we hear the daily numbers from outside the area, it makes you think it’s a pretty good idea.
You know it’s not because we are any better at washing our hands or staying away from each other or have more of us wearing masks. But to spread the disease, you have to have it present in the first place. So maybe keeping the bubble in place isn’t such a bad idea, at least for a while longer.
I know some people might disagree and that’s fine. We are all welcome to our own opinions.
But so far, the health experts have been doing a pretty good job at keeping us safe. So I’m happy to just sit here and let them do their job. I might not always agree, but they seem to know what they’re doing.
