One Charged Following Stabbing In Western Shore

Two men were sent to hospital Saturday morning after a stabbing in Western Shore.

RCMP say they responded to an altercation at a house on Station Road around 9:46 am, where a 21-year-old man had been stabbed.

Police say 23-year-old Kareem Taki-Aldeen of Halifax fled the area after the stabbing, and was later arrested.

The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, and Taki-Aldeen also suffered serious non-life threatening injuries after fleeing. Both were transported to hospital.

Police have determined both men were known to each other.

Taki-Aldeen was charged with Aggravated Assault, Uttering Threats and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order. He is scheduled to reappear in Bridgewater Provincial Court in February.
