Bridgewater Green Lights New Fire Truck

Bridgewater’s fire chief says the town is showing faith in the department by approving a new pumper truck.

A tender has been awarded to Rocky Mountain Phoenix for almost $993,000.

Michael Nauss says he’s happy to have the final piece of the puzzle in place so work to build the truck can begin.

“They really see the value of what our volunteers are doing and they back us for that and I think approving this truck proves that to our members.”

Nauss says the pumper will replace the oldest truck in their fleet which is around 30 years old.

He says it’s being built from scratch and will take a year before it’s ready to be used.
