Two people have died following a two vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Highway 103 in Shelburne County.
RCMP say a 71-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman, both from Lockeport, died when their vehicle collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The names of the deceased will not be released.
The driver of the oncoming vehicle was not hurt.
The crash happened between Exits 26 and 27 near Birchtown.
The highway was closed for roughly eight hours and traffic was forced to use Highway 3 as an alternate route.
Paramedics and the Shelburne Fire Department also responded to the crash.
Police continue to investigate.
