Newcomers To Lunenburg Have Their Home Warmed By The Community

A cold night has led to a warm welcome for a Lunenburg family.

The Magora’s moved from Zimbabwe to Lunenburg earlier this year.

When they ran out of oil last week, they had no money to top it up.

Their neighbour Brenda Nodding turned to Facebook looking for help.

Nodding says the result was tremendous

“I was contacted by Ann Bailly. She had a truck out here and a tech in to restart the furnace within twenty minutes. It was fabulous. I’m so overwhelmed with the amount of community support for this family.”

Within hours the community began donating money.

Annah Magora says she is overwhelmed by the community’s kindness.

“We would like to thank Brenda for her great support and all the people who donated for us and all the people who are still continuing to donate. I really appreciate that.”

Bailly’s fuel will continue to accept donations to help the Magora family through the winter.
