Shelburne: Town Pays It Forward To Remember Carmen Huskilson

The Town of Shelburne is paying it forward in memory of a little girl.

Five year-old Carmen Huskilson died earlier this month.

The town has agreed to provide Huskilson’s former daycare, Little People’s Place, with $500 in gift cards to help feed children.

Mayor Karen Mattatall says they are part of a giving community.

“Whenever there is a tragedy when anything happens and people are in need, Shelburne is pretty quick to react and be there to help people out.”

Huskilson was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia and was known as a spirited young girl.

The town is also considering marking January 12 as ‘Pay It Forward’ Day.
