Theatre Group Looks For New Home In Lunenburg Community Centre

The South Shore Players wants to turn Lunenburg’s Community Centre into a performing arts centre.

President, Jon Allen says they have an idea that will work around the popular Thursday Farmer’s Market.

“One possible way to do it is like they have at the Osprey Theatre in Shelburne with retractable seating. So, it would not need to move the farmer’s market from that space,” said Allen.

After calling the Pearl Theatre home for 12 years, the theatre company needs a new rehearsal and performance space.

The Pearl is owned by HB Studio’s Jeremy Wellard who handed back the space to the video game management team when he retired.
