Talks Between Chronicle Herald And Striking Workers Break Down

Talks between The Chronicle Herald and the 61 striking newsroom employees broke down Monday.

The employees turned down the company’s proposal to move editors to a non-union production centre and take a significant pay cut after a year.

25-year veteran employees were asked to take a 20-30-thousand dollar pay cut.

No further talks are scheduled at this time.
