A Crash Course On Council To Be Offered By the Town Of Lunenburg

Lunenburg Town Council wants to get residents up to speed on municipal government.

A public education session is being offered to help explain the intricacies of council procedures.

This comes after concerns have been raised around how often, and why, council goes in-camera to discuss issues.

Mayor Rachel Bailey says this is the same training council has recently received and she is pleased council could offer it to the citizens.

“I hope that if people are concerned that they’ll take advantage of this opportunity to be educated themselves.”

Bailey hopes people will take advantage of the session.

“To get a level of confidence that we do take great pains to ensure that we function the way we need to be, for their benefit and for their best interests.”

The Municipal Law Information Session will be held on February 2 at 7:00pm in town hall.
