A Wild Win For The Awesome Foundation Of The South Shore

Persistence paid off for another Awesome Foundation winner last night.

This month’s thousand dollar award went to Nathan Lavigne for his Nathan’s Nuisance Nature business.

This is the second time Lavigne has pitched the idea to help enhance his operations.

Awesome Foundation trustee Andrew Button says a couple of things in Lavigne’s presentation really stood out.

“He was totally psyched up about it, so that was really fun. The technology that he’s looking to bring to the province, that he’s been researching for a while, is something that we felt is sort of innovative.”

Lavigne expects to be quite busy with trapping season set to open.

He is going to invest in the state of the art traps for his company, Nathan’s Nuisance Nature.

Button says they felt Lavigne was filling a need in the community.

“A young entrepreneur getting into a business that’s aging, people are finding really tough to find folks that want to do this kind of work.”

Button says the foundation is accepting applications for their next award which will be handed out November 29th.
