Air/Ground Search At Crystal Crescent

There is a major search by ground and air underway today at a popular HRM beach near St. Margarets Bay. Crystal Crescent in Prospect is closed today as more than 150 ground searchers, volunteers, friends and family search for 62 year old Wallace Brannen. Two helicopters are also involved in the search. Brannen did not return home yesterday after visiting the beach. HRM Police media relations officer, Cst. Pierre Bourdages, says its a masive area to search. He tells us: “Its not very wooded but its a sprawling area. Last night, there were up to 150 gound search and rescue individuals (and 2 helicopters) taking part in the search. They worked overnight and are back at it today”. Brannon’s car was found in the main Crystal Crescent parking lot Wednesday afternoon. He’s described as between 5’7 and 5’8, weighing about 175 pounds and has short grey hair and a beard. If you believe you may have seen Brannen, you are asked to contact HRM Police right away.
