I admit I’ve never ordered anything recently from those late night TV infomercials but I have sure thought about it.
In fact the last thing I ordered was when I was a teen and wanted one of those Ronco record holders that let you flip through the discs at your fingertips. After a couple of months the plastic grips loosened up and the albums would never stay in the slots.
Vince almost got me to order a Sham Wow and a Slap Chop but I never bit. I remember asking all my friends if anyone had bought one and the few who would admit to buying were all kind of “Meh”.
The Snuggy almost got me but then I pictured friends and family arriving at the house and seeing how ridiculous we looked in those hoodie/blankets made me put down the phone.
Although it was never “As Seen On Tv” I used to order a lot of gadgets from overseas sites and one time I bought a cheap “potato chip maker”. It was a hand held peeler with a couple of razor blades that let you slice a potato super thin to make potato chips. It broke before we got through the first potato.
