Author behind Heated Rivalry coming to Lunenburg for library fundraiser

Fans of romance novels will have a chance to meet one of Canada’s most popular authors this summer while supporting South Shore Public Libraries.

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Reid will take part in a fundraising event at the Ice House Theatre in Lunenburg on July 11.

The event will feature a discussion with Reid, followed by a question-and-answer session and book signing.

Reid is best known for her Game Changers series, including Heated Rivalry, which has gained a large international following and recently saw renewed attention following a television adaptation.

South Shore Public Libraries says the event is being held as a fundraiser for the library system.

Tickets expected to sell quickly

Tickets go on sale June 20 at 9 a.m. at the Lunenburg Library.

Admission is $30 per person, with all proceeds supporting South Shore Public Libraries.

Organizers say only 100 tickets will be available due to the size of the venue. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of two tickets per person.

The event begins at 2 p.m. on July 11 at the Ice House Theatre.

In addition to the discussion and Q&A, attendees will have an opportunity to meet the author and have books signed following the event.
