Autism Nova Scotia announces Vicki Harvey as Interim CEO

Autism Nova Scotia has announced Vicki Harvey as the new Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In a news release, the organization says Harvey has been a part of their organization since the beginning, bringing not only decades of experience but has also helped shape programs, services and advocacy efforts.

She also played a key role in developing Nova Scotia’s Autistic Action Plan, reflecting the voices and needs of the autistic community.

Harvey says she is committed to listening, learning and working alongside communities and government partners.

“As a parent and advocate, I know first-hand the value of this work and what it means to Nova Scotians,” says Harvey. “My focus is on ensuring autistic individuals and their circles of care feel confident in the programs, services and supports they rely on.”

Board Chair, Catherine Rahey said Harvey brings a steady, thoughtful approach and “we trust in her ability to move our work forward”.

She will take over the role from Amanda Alexander.
