An aspiring documentarian had the winning story at this month’s Awesome Foundation pitch meeting.
Tracy Nilsson walked away with a thousand dollars to help her build her memory videos business.
Nilsson interviews seniors and collects their stories.
She then edits the stories and presents them to the seniors and their families as a keepsake.
Nilsson says people really appreciate hearing the stories told by their loved ones.
She says she’ll use the money to upgrade her equipment to increase the quality she is able to offer.
