A big weekend in Barrington! Hundreds of people will be donning their best walking shoes to raise money for the care of those afflicted by cancer. Its the annual Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund Society’s “Walk For A Cause”. Society Founder and President Shelley d’Eon credits the community for the success of the campaign. She says: “They just step up. They help us in any way and every way. The community has really jumped on board in the past. This fund has been going on since 2004 but in the last 6 or 7 years, the community has reall been amazing.” Since its inception 8 years ago, more than 20-thousand dollars has been raised by the walk. Money is also raised through other events and donations. This year’s “Walk For A Cause” begins at 3pm Saturday at the Barrington Regional Curling Club.
