It has been more than two decades since Lions Radio Bingo started on CKBW.
Over the years changes have been few. A couple retailers have come and gone but for the most part, Wednesday night Lions Radio Bingo has remained the same since it all began.
This Wednesday things will look very different.
As I say that, we will still be calling BINGO on CKBW and you will phone in when you have a winning card. But the card colours are going to be different and the front cover that has been the tell tale sign the retailer gave you the correct book of cards is gone.
Starting this week when you buy your Lions Radio Bingo books, you will see they are stamped. The stamp on these bingo books will say “Lions Radio Bingo” and the phone numbers to call when you win will be listed as well “902-543-1212 and 1-888-543-1212“.
The bingo games will have different colours as well:
Game 1 Blue
Game 2 Orange
Game 3 Green (Special Game)
Game 4 Yellow
Game 5 Pink
Game 6 Grey (Jackpot Game)
This week as the New Germany Lions Club takes over the organization of Lions Radio Bingo, we have new prizes too.
This Wednesday night the Loonie Jar is sitting at $1000.
The Special Game, game three has a grand prize of $200 (with a $100 consolation prize) and the jackpot is $700 in 53 calls or less (with a $300 consolation prize)
Be sure to join us Wednesday nights at 7pm on CKBW as we continue to raise much needed funds for the community with Lions Radio Bingo.
