The Canada Border Services Agency is actively searching a vessel on the Lunenburg waterfront.
The 53 foot Jeanneau sailboat from Montreal has been tied up since yesterday.
CBSA spokesperson Cindy Mackenzie says the investigation is ongoing.
“The CBSA is currently in the process of searching a vessel in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia,” she says, “It is part of our regular duties to conduct vessel searches.”
Mackenzie did not confirm the purpose of the investigation.
RCMP in Lunenburg county have been assisting CBSA.
More details are expected to be released later.
