Then there were two.
One of the candidates for mayor in the Municipality of Lunenburg has dropped out of the race.
Brice Veinot says it’s for the best.
“I had a meeting with one of the other candidates,” he says, “and I believe there’s better change to come based on their plans for council and for MODL as a whole.”
This was to be the first time Veinot has run for any kind of public office.
“Based on my being a rookie, I felt someone who was more versed could play a better role in bringing the change that is needed.”
He plans to find other ways to become involved with the community.
