Bridgewater Bus Launch Brings Joy to Community

Dozens of people came out to support the launch of Bridgewater Transit this afternoon.

Residents in the community are excited for this new initiative.

The bus starts running Monday and will be free for the first three weeks.

The schedule will be adjusted for the first week.

Mayor David Mitchell explains.

“We have a trainer from Kings transit coming down to train our drivers on the route, in real time with passengers. To have someone come all the way down from Kings for a 6am start and go until 9, we didn’t need to do that to them,” says Mitchell.

The bus will run from 8am until 7pm during the training period.

Regular hours will resume when the training week is complete.

A complete schedule is available here.
