Bridgewater: Four Injured After King Street Crash

Four people were injured following a string of crashes in Bridgewater. Police Chief John Collyer says it all happened on King Street. It began near Maple Street and ended near Victoria Road. A silver elantra crashed into five or six cars by the time it stopped near the busy King Street intersection. The jaws of life were needed to get some people out of their vehicles. An 85-year-old man suffered serious injuries while the other injuries were minor. Collyer says a traffic analyst is conducting an investigation. “He’s going to have a look at the scene and try and help us out to determine the speed that was involved, gives us some idea of the causes of this accident, we’re also speaking to the driver of the vehicle.” Collyer says it is still too early to determine if charges will be laid. Access to King Street from Victoria Road was closed for roughly three hours.
