Bridgewater: Fresh Air Food Truck Festival Takes Hiatus For 2017

People in Lunenburg County will have to wait until 2018 for the Fresh Air Food Truck Festival.

The popular event held at Shipyard’s Landing in Bridgewater for the last two years is going on hiatus.

One of the festival’s committee members, Janice Tanner-Ernst, says they were late planning this year and didn’t think they could hold a successful event.

“It was hard for us to make this decision to take a hiatus but that’s all it is. We’re just taking one year off and we’ll be back next year, for sure.”

The festival brought several trucks with different varieties of food from the South Shore and Halifax to Bridgewater,

It also helped raise money for Feed Nova Scotia.

Tanner-Ernst says the committee will meet in the fall to start planning the 2018 event.
