Bridgewater: King Street Beer Company Opening May 3

Downtown Bridgewater is about to be bolstered by another craft brewery.

King Street Beer Company is opening May 3.

The brewery will occupy the old Bavarian Restaurant near the corner of Dufferin and King Street and will feature an outdoor patio and sidewalk seating area.

President Andrew Tanner says he believes it will help make King Street more of a destination.

“There is a lot of new developments happening on King Street,” says Tanner.

“I think having another sort of anchor on the other end supporting the River Pub and Firkenstein and other businesses will certainly help attract more people into the downtown core.”

He says they will offer home brewers a chance to brew beer at their site.

“Our LaHave River brewing program will feature home brewers and allow them to brew recipes with our brewmaster and eventually have it on tap.”

Tanner says they will offer a variety of specialized guest beers and ciders on tap among their 16 selections to customers.
