Bridgewater Man Charged With Possessing, Making Available Child Pornography

A 31-year-old Bridgewater man is charged with possessing and making available child pornography.

Brandon Larkin was arrested Tuesday after an extensive investigation by Bridgewater Police Service.

According to a news release BPS started their investigation in September 2018 after receiving information from the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

On October 23, 2018, Bridgewater Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Bridgewater where they located and seized several electronic devices and media storage devices.

The items were sent to the Atlantic Region Technological Crime Unit and were found to contain images and videos of child pornography.

Larkin appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court Wednesday and a judge released him on recognizance.

He’ll appear in court again July 3.

BPS is reminding the public that it is mandatory to report suspected child pornography in Nova Scotia.

Anyone with information can report it by using Canada’s National Tip Line at cybertip.ca.
