Bridgewater Man Facing 10 Charges After Fire Call At Apartment Complex

A Bridgewater man is facing 10 charges after a fire broke out at an apartment building at 32 Pleasant Street.

The call came around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning regarding a fire on the second level of a four-storey apartment complex.

According to a release, the sprinkler system prevented the fire from spreading and the cause was immediately deemed suspicious.

Police obtained a search warrant which led to an arrest.

Derek Wayne Robar is facing numerous charges including assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and several firearms related offences.

Police say they are looking for another suspect related to their investigation and more charges could be laid.
