A 24-year-old Greenfield man has been charged with arson and break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence in relation to the King Street fire that took place last October.
Adrian Thomas Hunt appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court this afternoon.
He was released on recognizance and Judge Timothy Landry imposed a 7 p.m. curfew on him.
Bridgewater Police Services announced this morning that they had made an arrset in the fire that destroyed several businesses and apartment units on October 22, 2017.
A nearby restaurant was also damaged by smoke and water.
Firefighters from across the South Shore fought the blaze for over a day.
Police say the arrest took place after a lengthy investigation, however they added they continue to investigate the fire and those with information are encouraged to call BPS or Crime Stoppers.
BPS thanked the public for the information they received so far as well as for the cooperation of other agencies involved in the case.
Hunt is set to appear in court again on March 21.
