Two Bridgewater students are working with police this summer to help them graduate.
Kayden Joudrey and Andrew Marshall are part of the O2 program at Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School.
They are patrolling parks and Centennial Trail by foot and bicycle.
Deputy Police Chief Scott Feener says it enhances their visibility.
“Speaking to people about bicycle safety, looking for anything out of the ordinary, at which turn, they would report back to us. It’s about being visible and spreading safety tips.”
It also helps the students understand what police do on a daily basis.
The boys help out between four and six hours a day, about five days a week.
They are required to patrol a number of hours to gain a high school credit.
