Organizers of a charity hockey tournament in Bridgewater are looking for a little help.
The group approached the town to try and get a reduced rate on ice time for the 24 hour event.
Mayor David Walker says tournaments bring people to town.
He says says its grant to organizations committee will discuss the request.
Walker adds, “I think there is a way we can come in with a win-win situation where we are protecting the interest of the arena but we’re also providing opportunities for the organizers to do something really good for the hospital.”
Any money raised will go towards the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore.
The event is planned for February 7 and 8 in Bridgewater.
Any teams interested in registering for the event can email yorston.nick@radioabl.ca for more details.
