Residents of Churchill and York Streets will be without water until repairs are made.
Other town residents may experience discoloration of water for a short period of time.
The cause is not yet known but a few factors could be age, temperature, and the stress put on the pipe by the work on King and High Streets.
Dominion Street is closed between York and Churchill Streets.
Bridgewater’s Public Service Commission hopes to have all repairs complete by 8 p.m.
