A by-election will be held in a month to fill the vacant seat left by former MLA Maureen MacDonald.

Lisa Roberts will try and hold the riding for the NDP.
Rod Wilson is vying for the seat for the Liberals while Andy Arsenault is running for the PC.
MacDonald stepped aside from politics and retired in April after serving the Halifax Needham riding for 18 years.
