Cambridge man, 71, charged with child sexual assaults dating to the 1970s

A 71-year-old Cambridge is facing a slew of historical sex charges involving minors.

Kings District RCMP say they began investigating a report of sexual assault involving a child, in April.

As the investigation continued, more victims who know the man, came forward. Offences happened between the 1970’s and 2026.

The man was arrested April 7th and is charged with Sexual Assault (4 counts), Sexual Interference (4 counts), and Uttering Threats (2 counts).

RCMP investigators say they are committed to seeking justice, regardless of how much time has passed, and that they believe there may be more survivors out there.

The man had his first court appearance on April 10th at Kentville Provincial Court and was released on conditions while he waits for future court appearances.
