Candidates For NSTU President To Face Second Ballot

The number of candidates to head up the Nova Scotia Teacher’s Union is down to two.

Seventy percent of the province’s 10,700 NSTU members voted through Paul Wozney and Grant Frost.

They will face off in a second ballot after defeating Cherie Abriel, Shawn Hanifan and current President Liette Doucet.

To win the presidency of the Nova Scotia Teacher’s Union a candidate must win 50 percent of the vote plus one.

The run off vote will take place by electronic voting Thursday, May 31.
